Not sure what to say?

Dr Star delivered both our babies and he was the best. 26 years later we still think fondly of him and we're so thankful to have had him in our lives. I just now see of his passing and wanted to share how much he meant to us.

After 11 miscarriages & no Dr willing to help since my tests all came back fine, Dr Star helped me keep my son to full term & he's 6 years old now. If it wasn't for Dr Star, he wouldn't be here.

What a genuinely kind and fun person we had in Louie. I had et seen him for a while- but anytime I did I´d be greeted with a big smile and happiness just radiated from his soul. He´d always make me laugh and smile too. What a wonderful person...making others happy through his positive nature... ever since I´ve known him- almost 4 decades, he´s been the same. His happy energy was infectious and will continue to thrive through all those he knew. Just writing and thinking of him now makes me...

I met Dr. Star in 1990 when he took over the practice I was working in. Luckily keeping the staff was part of the deal. It was a small office the 2 full-time employees and one part-time. It was him and me seeing patient all day. When I decided to go back to be a nurse practitioner, he became my preceptor. I worked with him for 20 years. He was my boss, my teacher and my friend. I will never forget him.

I am Dr. Michael Harper of Tipton community Hospital, part of the IU system. I´ve known Dr. Starr since he started coming to Tipton as a clinical provider he´s been a wonderful asset to America community has given excellent care to our citizens. He delivered several of my grandchildren and was loved by all of his patients. He will be sorely missed!

Louis was a good guy. I mainly knew him from AEPi days. When I first got to IU, he befriended me and showed me the ropes. When it came time to get a Big Brother in the fraternity, we sought each other out. I was proud to say that Louis was my Big Brother! He was respected and admired by all and Janie, his girlfriend then and Louis were so nice and welcoming to me. Later on, he came occasionally to Chicago for Medical Boards or meetings and we would get together. I will never...

Janie and family, I am very sorry to hear about Louie´s passing! I will alway smile when I think of the fun we had when he was a resident at St Vincent! Please know you are in our prayers!
