Not sure what to say?

I only learned of his passing this afternoon (January 10, 2008). As an Assistant US Attorney I knew Louis professionally. He was one of the true gentlemen of the legal profession and someone with whom I always enjoyed sharing a conversation. The scope of his interests ranged over so many areas, but always he spoke the longest and with the greatest enthusiasm about his family. We have all lost a great friend and fellow professional.

Mary & family,

I was out of town when I heard the shocking news of Lou's death. You certainly have my prayers and condolences. I have confidence in your faith to sustain you and your family through this experience.

I always knew Lou was an accompllished man, but I did not know the level of his achievements until I read his obituary. He will be missed.

Our Condolences to the Entire Stevenson Family:

Our hearts are exceedingly sad to hear about the homegoing of our dear friend Louis.

We grew up with Louis in Marion, Ohio and, today, we are still very fond of him. He made us laugh everyday. He had a good grip on life and was focused at an early age.

Be blessed by the memories and we will keep you in our prayers.

I had the esteemed opportunity to work with Louis for nearly 30 years in helping small business owners achieve the "American Dream". He was a true professional, looking out for the best interests of the SBA, while being concerned for the well being of the clients. You will be missed my friend. On behalf of the staff at HCDC please accept our sympathy.

Julia, although words can not begin to ease the sorrow of your loss, please know that you are in the thoughts of so many who care!!!!May you find peace and comfort in your loving memories.

MY PRAYERS GO UP FOR THE FAMILY OF LOUIS , HE WAS MY NEIGHBOR GROWING UP ON SENATE STREET IN MARION ANDAS A LITTLE GIRL BACK THEN I LOOKED UP TO HIM AS SOMEONE I KNEW WOULD PROTECT ME FROM HARM. OUR FAMILY IS TRUELY SADDENED BY THE LOSS,

A few years have passed since Louis and I played chess. Like many others I'll miss the storytelling, particularly the day he met me with a book "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu and a chess game-clock.
Both of these items Louis had determined would benefit my game
(I still believe constant talking was the root of this advisory).

I can only hope to pass on the many life stories, strategies and
lessons (to my own children) that I learned during games with him.

He was always...

I will always remember his contagious smile and easy laugh, during high school, many years ago. He left too soon, but his legacy will never be forgotten. My prayers and thoughts are with his family.

Louis Stevenson was the greatest brother in-law one could ever have.

Thank you soooooooo much for LOVING my Sister the way GOD would have you to, and also helping me with my son DJ.

It was a joy being your sister in-law, I will never forget you.

You will be truly missed.

Love,

Sylvia J. Buie
