I was very sorry to hear the news of Lou's passing.
My stepfather, John Sutherland, was his brother. I remember what a great support Lou was to my Mother when John passed away in 1985.

I worked with Lou at Wyle Labs from 1966 to 1971 and met up him on many occasions, both socially and professionally, after I subsequently returned to England. He and his wife Marilyn were the most delightful people one could wish to meet and my wife Glen and I have been very sorry that distance prevented us from seeing more of them over the years. I remember that my husband Martin Lowson started work at Wyle Labs in Huntsville on the same day as Lou in the mid-sixties. We were newly married and having a big adventure starting a new life in America. Although we moved back to England about five years later, we remained in contact with Lou and Marilyn, and exchanged visits when we could.
