Not sure what to say?

Dr. Thayer was and still is my favorite Professor in the area of Guidance & Counseling @ Eastern Michigan University! My condolences to his family. Sincerely, Ms. Lynda D. Graham-Logan MA-Guidance & Counseling Education, Eastern Michigan University

Dr. Thayer was my professor at EMU from 1977-1980. I remember him as being a very kind human being. My sympathy is extended to his family.

I am sad that one of my favorite graduate professors has passed on. I learned from an college colleague that he was gone and I was in shock. I pray that his gentle soul be at peace in heaven.

I loved Dr.Thayer! He was my first professor when I went back to school to get my masters in school counseling....He was such a wonderful soul! He loved!! his girls ... we heard stories :) Also, I have reflected on his teachings and wisdom often over the years. It's sad he isn't 'hear' to share his gifts any longer, but I'm sure there a many, many, many who continue to share parts of them for him. I know I do in my practice w/my students! :) May you find peace in your memories! Sincerely,

Lou was a wonderful man. He was also a great carving friend. Oh, how he loved his girls. We will all miss him.

Kind, caring, courageous, family man, counselor & carver, a Great Spirit, & the World's Best Story Teller. Lou, you are missed. Very happy our paths crossed.

Though I only knew you a short time, I learned a great deal about you through your two children. They are a shining examples of the warmth, kindness, and generosity you displayed in your life. Rest well my friend.

My dearest professor Dr Louis, you introduced me to the world of counseling and I fell in love with it. Thank you for who you were to many of us who are proud to call themselves your former students. Oh I should not forget how much I enjoyed the "tai chi" skills you taught us. Sweet memories indeed. May you live on eternally and may we meet again someday. My heart goes out in a special way to you Shannon and Alison. May you be comforted by God during this time. I am so honored to have known...

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.
