Not sure what to say?

I do not have words to express how great a man Lou was. He was everyone’s friend and he and Barb of great help to let me leave my Barth RV at his home for a week. I was saddened to learn of his passing and wish I could have ridden with him in his plane.

Tom Taylor from Florida

When Barb was running her 5K races, she thought music would encourage the runners. So she and Lou set up his music on one of the street corners that the runners would pass and played for them. How many guys would do that ...really? but Lou did it because Barb wanted him to. He was a great guy and lucky me, he was my brother-in-law. Rest in Peace Lou, you will never be forgotten.

Lou & Barb were my next door neighbors in Allegan for the six years I lived there and I remember how busy he was with his job at the airport but always had time to serve the community. Lou seemed to always have a smile and such a good heart. RIP old friend.

We spent many grand times together flying various places and also singing together

I was on the county board with Lou and he was an excellent board member. Lou led so many events in Allegan you can't count them. Allegan is a much better community because of Lou and all his hard work. I was blessed to call him a friend. Thoughts are with you Barb. Gary and Joan

I met Lou and Barb as part of a Barth gathering and they were most gracious to let me keep my Barth at his place when we flew back to Florida. I enjoyed my time spent with Lou and Barb and was sadden to hear of his passing. He was a great guy who was married to a great lady.

What a great guy! So happy I was able to know and fly with Lou. Great memories. Barb, my thoughts are with you and John. Blessings to all...

Such a kind man with a constant smile - he had great enthusiasm for life and everything he did. He contributed so much to the Allegan community - he will be missed by many.

I am sure that I can speak for the Manistee Senior Softball team in thanking you for your generous musical contributions with your organ music, playing favorite baseball songs on the field during our game. You were a kind man and Softball brother. You will be missed. Jonesy- Manistee Senior Softball
