Louis was such a loving and kind man. I knew him from the time he was born and loved him dearly. Time and distance kept us apart but the love I had for him never faded. It is unfathomable that such a bright light was taken from us that early. My deepest condolences to Kaya, Marcia and Cary and Tracy. Just like the Grateful Dead and Phish's music will live on, so will Louis's memory...

May the Lord hold you in His loving embrace, Louis. My heart aches to know that I will not see you again in this life. You gave so generously of yourself to my students when you spoke at our service learning events. You will be missed but held in prayer. I am so grateful to have known you.
