Not sure what to say?

General Wagner had no reason to always stop and talk to me in the hallways of the Pentagon between 1982 and 1985. I was a captain and he a Lieutenant General. But he knew me as a fellow armor officer, and our conversations were always brief, but he just demonstrated his kindness and humility every time he saw me -- which I remember to this day and appreciation so much.

In loving memory by General Wagner's many West Point classmates of a man admired by all. Cl 54 President, Dion Johnson

On behalf of the National Military Family Association, please accept our sincerest condolences. General Wagner's commemoration of life at Arlington was beautiful. His record of service is humbling-including his support for military families.

I had the honor of serving as General Wagner´s aide-de-camp for close to a year when he commanded the Army Materiel Command. He was a brilliant officer who was absolutely dedicated to service to this nation. I salute you, job well done, rest in peace.

Thanks to a very fine officer, family man, gentleman and West Point graduate, the epitome of Duty, Honor, Country. Dion Johnson, President C54

Lou Wagner was a valued member of a military visit I led to Israel and then a member of the Advisory Board of JINSA. He was an amazing and broad thinker - and more important, a kind and generous person. Later, I rented a house at the beach and was thrilled to learn that I'd rented it from Lou and Judy! Brought back all the great memories. I will miss him.

Thank you for helping me at Fort Knox in 1982. Seeing you at my father's retirement (Lt. Gen. Bennett Leonard Lewis) in 1986 and your smile knowing I had completed my M.S. in Physics/Chemistry is always fondly remembered. I also enjoyed being with you and your wife at the Ft. Knox chapel Sundays. God Bless You and may you Rest In Peace.
