Not sure what to say?

Truly miss you Lou

I spent many years coaching and watching ball games at Vandersande Field in Saddle Brook. Lou took great pride in maintaining that ballfield and worked tirelessly. Very few games were ever rained out because Lou was the best. An unsung hero of that baseball era in SB. RIP friend.

For those of you who who got to know Louis J. Wejsa and be part of your life you are lucky. Count your blessings. My dad was a classy man ,old school with values you don't see anymore. He worked many long hours to provide our entire family. He had a soft place in his heart for animals that's were we all get it from. My dad use to say'" I spend more money on pet food then I do on groceries". He never refused any of us from bringing home pets. Our family vacations in the station wagon going to...

Louis J Wejsa was my dad. He was my father, my daddy and my friend. He was a good father. He worked so hard to provide for our family. Sometimes 3 jobs and he never complained. He left his senior year of high school in 1943 at the age of 17 to join the Navy and fight evil. He met my mom after the war and they were married. He was a good husband and father of 4 children.

He was a daddy to me. He always made me feel special. He went out of his way to do things to make me...

Not only was Lou a great storyteller but he was also a great listener. He wanted to hear your stories.
He was a giver. For example, my mom loves that candy by Hanna K and Lou would bring it in for her. He liked to make people happy.
Whatever you needed hed look for it for you.
There arent many people like Lou. We will miss his kindness and friendship.

Both myself and my father met Lou and Jimmy when I was just 13 years old and playing Babe Ruth Baseball behind Coolidge School. I really got to know Lou when he met Mrs. Kov. We'd always have a chat at the family events. Lou was a good man, kind and loving. He will be sorely missed. Our condolences to both families.

I met Lou when I met my mother-in-law, Mrs. Kovolisky. They were inseparable. He was a thoughtful and kind man, always willing to offer help when needed. He enjoyed talking about baseball, telling stories and giving me advice on lawn care. He loved to fish and hunt when he was able. He had so many experiences in life and always had a story to tell. I am thankful that Lou was part of our lives. He will be missed by many and will always have a place in our hearts.

I have known Lou for over 25 years - way back to when he would take care of the girls softball field behind Coolidge School. Every day he would line the field and put out the bases. He would also cut the grass with his push lawnmower. More recently I would see him with Mrs K and how happy they both were. My condolences to the Wejsa and Kovoliskys.

I met Lou over 20 years ago and he immediately struck me as kind...
He would be at Mrs. Kovoliskys house doing the lawn, gutters, dishes, but most of all sitting at her side. He loved pleasing Mrs. K.
Lou will be in our hearts forever
Love ya Louie!
