I worked with Louis for years at CSUB and spent many an hour talking with him at school and at church and was often a guest in his house. It would be hard to find a more caring and devoted person. He is sadly missed.

I had classes with Louis at Jefferson. I also remember how funny he was at a class reunion . He was a talented man.

Louis, we all enjoyed your humorous tales at the reunion in Tigard. It was fun to re-connect and I was hoping to see you again but it was not to be. You were such a bright and talented man who used your abilities to give enjoyment to others. Rest in peace.

Louis was also a good basketball player with a deadly shot. We won the CSUB Intermural Basketball Championship against three former CSUB basketball players. He always treasured the shirt awarded to the champions.

Over the past 30 years or so on most weekday mornings, Louis gathered with friends, students and alumnus for morning basketball exercise. Most individuals know of his excellence in academia and music. However, it should not be overlooked that he thoroughly enjoyed the personal relationships brought by this endeavor. He was quite competitive utilizing a two-handed jump shot with a high degree of accuracy. Thomas Richardson, Keith Smith, Ken Preston and others will miss Dr. Wildman. We...

Louis' mother, Constance Wildman, was a dear friend of my own mother, Ruth Watson. It was Mrs. Wildman who encourage me to study violin and to play in the Portland Youth Philharmonic as a youngster at the same time Louis was Timpanist under Mr. Avshalomov.
