Not sure what to say?

To all of Lou's family.....My heartfelt sympathies go out to all of you. Lou was a very special person, as you all know, and her loss will be felt by all of us who knew and loved her. May your memories keep her alive in your hearts forever!!!

We loved being in the presence of Lou! We are so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a marvelous person and always pleasant. May the Lord comfort and give peace to the family. Lou lived her life well.

So sorry to here of Lou's passing. It was nice to get together with everyone last August to celebrate birthdays and anniversary. We think about growing up in Ludlowville often, many memories of being at the Barr cottage. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lou's family. Peg Teeter, Betsy Teeter Kulis, Penny Teeter Ward.

It was such fun to swap bird-watching adventure stories with Lou! She got quite a kick out of my daughter phoning from Kelly AFB, San Antonio, TX to report a whopping crane sighting! She was overjoyed that Grey and I then went to Texas and Nebraska to photograph whoppers and sand hills. Plus, she cheered Kay's Crew for adopting the Battered Women's Safe House. We, in turn, loved her for already having done so much for others. We have to smile with the joy of having known her and we will...

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family. It was such a pleasure to have spent time with this dynamic legend of the Barr family. May you find peace with your memories and exchange of stories of happy times at the "cottage".

Lou Barr was one of the most intelligent people I ever met. I met her through the Lansing United Methodist Church, never had any idea at the time that she was over 80 years of age and, frankly, apparently neither did she. I don't think she ever considered age at all. While everyone else would be discussing rather mundane things, Lou would be be sharing information about her past travels or her work at Cornell's laboratories. She was a wonderful and kind person, a true role model,...

Our lifelong friend,Lou Barr, is gone but will never be forgotten. John and Dot Johnson, Holly Hill, Florida

Last summer while traveling through Ludlowville.
I stopped and visited this fine lady and reminised the enjoyable times when I was young and lived in Ludlowville and played with her nieces and nephew when they visited in the summers. She still had a very youthfull energy and was just a joy too talk with, a great lady and I am sure she will be missed by many.
I wish too express my condolences too her entire family .
