Louise M. Decker, 92, of Berea, formerly of Eubank, departed this life February 9, 2022 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond.
 
She was born February 9, 1930 in Burnside; to the late Ruby Dell (Shadoan) Childers and step-father, Kelly Herbert Childers of Burnside. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family.
 
She was married to Herstel Decker on September 3, 1949. They were married 45 years when he preceded her in death on March 27, 1995. From this union came three children, Roger Decker of Berea, Janet & (Bobby) Newcomb of Hilo, Hawaii, and Gary & (Teresa) Decker of Livingston, Kentucky.
 
Grandchildren left to celebrate her life are Garry Wayne & (Jami) Hodgins of Monticello, Courtney Hodgins & (Keyvin Taylor) of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Joshua & (Amber) Breeding of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Christopher Habermehl & (Julia Morrow) of Parker, Colorado.
 
Great-grandchildren are Nathan, Lindsey & Alora Hodgins of Monticello, Keira Hodgins, Zachary & Alexandria Crank of Crab Orchard and Brian Breeding of Las Cruces, New Mexico.
 
Those who preceded her in death are her mother, Ruby Dell Childers; step-father, Kelly Herbert Childers; husband, Herstel Decker; and a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
 
What a wonderful birthday present to leave this world and go be with the Lord.
 
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Roberts officiating.
 
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
 
Pallbearers will be Keyvin Taylor, Anthony Roberts, Christopher Roberts, Elisha Roberts, Nathan Hodgins, and Christopher Habermehl.
 
Honorary pallbearers are Garry Wayne Hodgins and Westel Cabaniss.
 
Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Monday, February 14, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Prayers for the family and friends of Louise decker. She will be missed, she was a wonderful woman . Her son Gary was like a brother to me when we were younger always hanging out . Gary sorry for your loss.

Prayers for ALL the family. She will be missed. Louise was a very hard worker, never complained about the hard work she did. I have lots of memories, Gary was a brother to me growing up.
