Today I bought a potted palm tree for my classroom. As I did i immediately thought of Mrs. Dunn, my kindergarten teacher at Assumption school in 1974. She came to mind for 2 reasons: she was inspiration for becoming a kindergarten teacher, and I remember that I gave her a potted palm on 2 occasions: when I finished kindergarten and when I graduated from 8th grade.
