Shelley and I were amazed to hear all the same memories of Grandma that we had. It really took us back a few years. The only thing that wasn't mentioned was how Grandma would cover and recover us with her heavy quilts at night. That is one of my strongest memories. Shelley, though, remembers how she whipped off her slipper and spanked us both with it because we were fighting. Funny how the more you talk about the past, the more you remember. I'm trying to remember all of those good...

Unlike the other grandchildren, I had a very different relationship with Grandma because of being born about twenty years later. She no longer had her home, so I only know stories of sitting on the porch watching the cars go by, or of her beautiful garden because of what others have told me. Grandma was my best friend, we did everything together, including going to the park where I could convence her to do anything I wanted her to do, like going down the whirly slide. I looked forward to...

One more thing...

She'd let me wear her pink silk blouse for the school play. It was two sizes too small and I ripped it under the arms. She wasn't upset.

~My Mother Remembered~

Sitting on a porch with a town cap on my head and a cake in my hands, was the first memory of my mother.

From the first memory to the last, the pages cannot contain. I saw her saw wood, bring water from the river, garden in her garden heavy with a baby (Reba). I saw how the ambulience couldn't cross the bridge so she and baby came home in a buckboard wagon.

The radio played all day because she was lonesome. We walked through thunderstorms because...

To the family: I was sorry to hear of your loss. Louise will be greatly missed. She was a very kind person and very faithful to Jehovah. She showed stong strength and loyalty to Jehovah. We will all look forward to seeing her again in the new system. Sending my love to all of you.

Its funny how much you thought you forgot yet when a simple thing (cranberry juice, reused yogurt cups, sawdust) the memories flood back.

I remember asking my mother about Grandma Grandma (which is what we called her) and her telling us the story of when her and my dad (Chip) was dating, she said that Grandma Grandma would be in the living room talking your ear off and you'd leave the room for a minute or two only to come back and the woman was still going. Of course, my brother and I...

Dear Family,
Was sorry to hear that Louise passed away. My mother, Millie Runyon, is in Tendercare and we have been visiting D Hall every week for three years. We would always look for Louise and would find her caring for her babies. From that our family figured Louise was a very caring person and took care of her family very well. From reading your tributes to her I would have never figured that she was much of a talker.....it was probably a year before she ever said anything to us...
