Louise Marie Maybee

Louise Maybee, of Grand Blanc, age 75, went to be with the Lord, on Monday, September 23, 2024, at McLaren-Flint. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on September 28, 2024, 11 a.m. The memorial service will be held at Grand Blanc United Methodist Church, 515 Bush Ave, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439. Louise was a loving wife and mother who had a strong sense of family and spiritual life, including daily conversations with God. She was a fashionista with a great appreciation for style, with a passion for decorating and making all things beautiful. She enjoyed shopping and collectibles, adored the TV series “Columbo”, and was enthusiastic about rock music, particularly from the 60s and 70s. Louise cherished spending time with loved ones and was protective of her family. She had an inner strength and a strong sense of loyalty, which all who knew her recognized and appreciated.

Louise was born in Flint, Michigan on May 13, 1949, the daughter of Franklin and the late Edna (Crane) Maxwell. On July 25, 1986, she married Douglas Maybee in Grand Blanc. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Maybee; daughter, Amber Willett; son, Ian Willett; stepdaughters, Shain Hamric and Tasha Fitzgerald; grand-daughter, Laura Benmoha, and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; father, Franklin Maxwell; sisters, Linda McCraith and Kathryn (Tom) Calvert; and also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Maxwell.

Louise loved unconditionally, as she was loved unconditionally by her husband Doug. She is already greatly missed.

Not sure what to say?

I love you grandma

I’ve thought of Louise quite often over the years. I met her when I was 15. She was very sweet lady and she always smiled. She had a warmth about her that you just couldn’t miss. She’ll be greatly missed and my greatest empathy goes to her family ❤

I will always remember Louise as my niece who grew up right across the street from us on Martharose Court. She loved to sun and would spread her towel out in their driveway and soak up the sun for hours at a time giving her a golden glow. She also enjoyed swimming in our pool with all the kids. She grew up to be a kind and loving person, as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. Love you and miss you forever, Sweet Child. You are safe in the arms of Jesus now. Aunt Arlene
