NELSON, Louise Maude - Of Flint, age 92, died Monday, September 21, 2009 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hospice Care Center. Visitation 10 a.m. - 12 noon Thursday at the funeral home. Louise was born in Scott, Indiana on November 7, 1916 the daughter of Karl and Anna (Wendorf) Ferguson and was a resident of Flint most of her life. She attended Central High School. Louise belonged to Bethlehem Methodist Church, Flint Theater Organ Club, Mothers Club and Victorious Christian Youth. Surviving are children, Karen Reimer of Waterford, Debbie (Bob) Hawes and Tim Nelson both of Flint; grandchildren, Tony Reimer of Champaign, IL, Ted(Sandra) Reimer of Canton, MI, Tim (Krista) Nelson of Canton, MI, Tom Nelson of Flint, Rob Hawes of Los Angeles, CA, Anna Marie Schaffer of Burton, William Hawes of Littleton, CO: great-grandchildren, Paige and Cameron Schaffer, Zachary and Alexander Nelson and Kurtis Reimer; daughter by choice, Joanne Yoder of Goshen, IN; brother, John Ferguson of Castaic, CA and special companion, her cat, Lakey. She was preceded in death by husband, Henry Nelson, mother, Anna Marie and father, Karl Ferguson, sister, Esther and brother, George.
