Louise Pettus

One of my favorite professors at Winthrop and someone I considered a friend for over 40 yrs. We both loved the history of Winthrop. God rest her soul and sympathies to her family.

Three years of teaching together at Douglas High School, two years of sharing an apartment, and a trip across the country visiting my home in Minnesota and ending in your South Carolina home are memories that will always be a treasured part of my life. Thank you for all special gifts you have given to me and to all those fortunate to know you!
