Funeral Service Broadcast for Louise Toll


Louise Gritton Toll, 101, passed away May 7, 2025 in Lexington, Kentucky.  Born in Anderson County, KY on July 23, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Edward Bryan Gritton and Opal Goodlett Gritton.


Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Jackson Toll, and her sisters, Evelyn Blanche Gritton and Kathleen Sherrow.


A 1941 graduate of Lawrenceburg City High School, Louise retired as a payroll clerk at Rand McNally in Versailles and formerly worked at McAlpin’s in Turfland Mall in Lexington, a Southern Bell Phone operator, and a teacher’s aide for the Anderson County Board of Education.  An active and member of Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church for over 89 years, she taught GA’s and Sunday school for many years.  


She is survived by her son, Edward Charles Toll of Kerrville, Texas; seven grandchildren, Bryan Joseph Toll (Brittany) of Lawrenceburg, Daniella Toll, Evana Toll, Benjamin Toll (Adia), Conrad Toll, Christina Toll, and Brandon Toll, all of Texas; and a great granddaughter, Evelyn "Evie" Toll. 


Visitation will be held from 11 AM – 1 PM, Monday, May 12, 2025 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home followed by the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM, Monday.  Dr. Bob Ehr and Matt Ashby will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.


Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church Scholarship Fund in memory of Blanche Gritton, 111 N. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
