Not sure what to say?

Words can not express the sadness I feel knowing LC is no longer here. He has left behind so many friends that will forever miss him. My sadness is for them - us - the people that loved him and will continue to carry a great sadness knowing he is no longer with us. Holly Jo - I am so sorry. My thoughts are with you.
LC - Miss you.

I started a friendship with LC back in the days of the Great Lakes Steak Co. He was a big brother to me for many years. We lost touch but I have some of the best and funniest memories of him! My prayers go to his family and please know he touched many peoples lives with his humor and wisdom. He has only moved on to touch our hearts in another way. Raise a little hell, LC. Love you.

I worked at Lowes with LC for the last two years and got to know him. He always had a joke and a smile! We will miss him deeply.

LC was an original restaurant pioneer and an inspiration on how to treat people, not just as customers, but guests. He set a standard that, along with him, will be missed.

I knew him as Craig, for my entire life.
Our familys grew up togeather. Our Mothers were best friends.
Craig and Holly rented our familys cottage every year in northern Mich.
This was their piece of Heven for one week every Aug.We loved to be able to share it with them. They would gather who ever could come Mom ,Vickie and Bob,Missi and Bob, and their own girls also.
The fun we all had camp fires, beer ,and just playing in the lake.
My thoughts and prayers are with you...

On Friday April 3, I was driving sitting at the light at Lake Drive and Diamond and for some reason L.C. popped into my head. He and I worked together at Great Lakes Steak back in 1979. We did not know each other very well and I had not thought about him in years really. But I found myself wondering what he was up to or if he was still in Grand Rapids. The next morning (Saturday) I see his obituary on mlive. I send my condolences to his family. He obviously has an extremely strong spirit.

LC was my boss at Pearl Street Bar, where we shared many laughs and everlasting memories. He was the best boss ever; always fair, dependable, ever supportive and never short on humor.
He will be missed by many, and I send Holly Jo and the rest of his extended family my deepest condolences.
LC leaves this world a better place because of the contributions he made.

Thank you LC. You provided much pleasure from the days at the Starboard Tack through many stops to the Elbow Room. If I knew anything about building supplies,I would have come to see you at Lowes. Thanks again! JD
