Dear Family and Friends,

I am very sorry to hear about Lowell. As a graduate of Sierra High School in 1998, I also attended Auberry Elementary and Foothill Middle School with Lowell. I will always remember him playing basketball, soccer, or tetherball with such passion! If you were nice to Lowell, he was just as nice back. I also remember such a wonderful smile! When I signed into the internet today I felt the need to google Sierra High School, and this page is what I found. If...

He was an endearing member of our backcountry community who always made us laugh and think.

To Lowell's family, although I never met Lowell I want to let you know how much the CCC Backcountry program appreciated his service to our program. It is a special program and not everyone is cut out for the rigors of 6 months of hard work in the Mountains. Lowell's love for the mountains and community made him a perfect fit for our program, and all of us in the Backcountry family offer our deepest sympathy.
