I met Lowell in 1987 when I began serving as the Kentwood Police Chief, We began a professional relationship that grew into a friendship. He had hired trained or promoted his entire staff, and they reflected his dedication and work ethic. I enjoyed working with each one. Chief Henline was also one of the driving forces for the area cooperative enforcement teams, such as major case, auto theft and narcotics.
