Not sure what to say?

Sorry for your loss - he was a great source of knowledge and experience to many members of the B&M RR Historical Society and will be missed and remembered for his stories, his humour and his willingness to share.

What a full and wonderful life he lived and what a blessed man to have a truly life long partner!

Prayers for all those he loved as you mourn his passing and celebrate his long and wonderful life.

Regards,

Loyd was an acquaintance of mine from his regular trips to the B&M Historical Society meetings in Woburn and later in Lowell. A few things stand out about these, including hearing he and other B&M'ers spinning yarns about the days of yore on the B&M. Tape recordings of those conversations would be priceless.

My wife and I first met Loyd at the B&MRRHS meetings after she asked for photos of the steam locomotive number 3656 through the B&M Newsletter. She got quite a few pictures, but the frosting on the cake for her was when Loyd told her that 3656 was a favorite with him. He had operated the loco out of Springfield and he said it was a smooth runner, very much a good performer and he was sad when it was transferred to...

Loyd was my principle source for steam locomotive era stories on the B&M. He was simply a superb man to work with and will be greatly missed by many former B&M rails.
Alden Dreyer, retired B&M Rail Traffic Controller

A fine gentleman and a true railroader in every sense of the word. He will be missed by many.

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
