Not sure what to say?

I am so so sorry to learn about this. Your beautiful family will be in my prayers and I am happy to help in any way. If there is anything I can do.

My cousin, Liza Boswell, has told me in thrilling detail, the story of her life long friendship with Wade Stokes. What an incredible man he must have been! I feel blessed just to have learned about him through her tales of adventure and the humor she shared with her old college friend. He has navigated the heavens and reached for the stars and I know he will be overjoyed to see what lives beyond! God Speed Wade Stokes!

Wade Stokes--a presence of Light for all of us. His life was filled with goodness, and he paid attention. May we follow his Light. He is already sorely missed in this world.

Single Memorial Tree

I was Wade´s assistant when he came to Wake as Director of Development for the Divinity School in 1997. I was with him until I retired in 2003. He was such a joy to work with! The best boss I ever had! I send my thoughts and prayers to his family and want you to know he will forever be in my heart!

Tara and family, what a loss you must be feeling. Our memories of Wade as a young husband and father are so special. We went through so many good times and milestones together at Providence Baptist. David and remember going to a very rainy concert at the coliseum with Wade and Tara. You were there for us when our precious Ashlyn was diagnosed and supported us to the end. Know that we may be separated by miles, but we are there for you in spirit. You are in our current and future prayers....

Tara, my heart is filled with sadness. Hearing about Wade, he was a "one of a kind" human being with so much love and caring. All my thoughts and prayers with you and your family. Marcia Lampert

I remember so well how much I looked up to and admired Wade when we were undergraduates. Many years later, he was solely responsible for my service on the WFU School of Divinity Board of Visitors. Even though we didn't see each other often enough, his friendship was cherished. He was a great guy whose life was much too brief. My deepest sympathy to Tara and his entire family.

I just heard of Wade´s passing. Beautiful testimonial to his family cc and friends. Condolences and RIP brother Wade.
