Read MoreI was a classmate of Luanne's at Grove City College in Western Pennsylvania. After college in 1969 a number of us moved to the DMV, where Luanne began her work life and met Brian. Although I haven't seen her in so many years, I remember her calm, kind personality, at a time when the world seemed upside down. My condolences, Brian, and to your whole family.

Luanne and I walked hundreds of miles together, attended years of Jazzercise, and were each other's sounding board throughout those many miles. I will miss her and her friendship. Her positive attitude and perseverance these last few years are sure signs of her love of life and family. I will certainly miss her.

I wonderful memories of being co-leaders for our daughters Girl Scout troop. Luanne and I took the younger girls to the Amish country while our daughters went to Mexico. After I moved to Florida Luanne and I would have dinner together when she was TDY with her job. She was a great lady and will be missed by so many
