I worked with Martha at HSHP in the early-mid 1980s. She was a beloved colleague and mentor. I think of her often. May she Rest In Peace.

In my previous capacity as a Director of Historical Palaces and Founder of The British American Commerce Association, I had the pleasure and distinct honor of being invited by Martha on more than one occasion as a guest speaker to functions sponsored by the English Speaking Union for which Martha was an officer. She was such a courteous and kind person and I was always happy to work with her. She will be sorely missed. RIP. Sincerely David E.Huntley

I have many fond memories of Martha from the days we taught English at the High School for Health Professions on Ross Avenue. Martha was a friend and colleague, as she chaired the English Department at HSHP. She was the epitome of class and grace. God bless you, Martha.

I worked with Martha for many years when The High School for Health Professions was located on Ross Avenue. She was the department chair for several years while I was there. She had so much to offer to her profession. It was an honor to work with her. I was also honored again when I was a companion with Martha in her later years. I did so to show my respect for her life long of services to others.

Martha was English Dept chair at High School for Health Professions back when we were all young. Because she was a bit older than the rest of us, she was our mentor as well as our friend. Sorry to hear of her passing.
