Not sure what to say?

What words are there to express the loss of Lucia? How do we grapple with such an absence in our lives? Lucia's name is 'light' in Italian and she brought it to us in abundance, even when it was colored red. Our tears go out to her warmth as wife, mother, sister, dear friend, counselor, director, actor and a founding rock in the Cleveland theatre community. She was the comet that flashed across our days
and warmed our nights. And towards the end, she reached heavenward to her Redeemer,...

Dear Licia, Corinna, Celeste, Martin and all Family members,

I wish that there were words I could say that would adequately express my condolences and my sadness, but there are no words. She had so much more to give to us, and the sparkle and fire in her eyes has been extinguished far too early.
Lucia was a rare human being, a force of nature. She lived for those things which mattered most to her: her daughters, her immediate family, and the theatre. She filled her life and the...

Licia, All week I have been remembering with such affection both you and Lucia and the Regina days. How long ago they seem, and yet weren't they just a moment ago? You have my sympathy on the loss of Lucia, who was not only your twin sister, but, I know, your friend, colleague, and muse. A few years ago, my husband and I took our son to see Long Days Journey Into Night at Ensemble, which I believe you directed. I was so struck by the professionalism and passion that went into that...

To Lucia's Family,

The last time I saw Lucia was 8th grade graduation from Gesu School. Off to different high schools, colleges and corners of the world we went, but family members remaining in Cleveland have provided newspaper clippings, reviews, and other wonderful tales over the years.

The Cleveland theater has lost a "grande dame," and all of us have lost a good friend.

Deepest sympathy to you. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Licia,
It was with great sadness that I learned of Lucia's death. Memories flooded into my head of our escapades at Regina and the fun and laughter we all shared in the endless rehearsals and performances at Cain Park and Wiley. I am so sorry we lost touch over the years, but you have always remained in my heart.
The theatre community has lost a wonderful and talented human being. We are all the richer for knowing both of you. My sincerest sympathies.

Licia, Corinna, Celeste and Martin. Dolly and I extend our deepest condolences. Lucia has been in our prayers these past months and now that she is at peace we join you in celebrating her life. I have such great memories of the summer visits when we were kids. Our thoughts are with you.

Martin, Celeste, Licia, and Corrine, Know that my prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. Lucia was a very good friend of mine who treated me like a king, both on and off-stage. I will miss her laugh, and her smile, and her friendship. My deepest condolences to all.

To Licia and family members; I cant think of my life as an actor without reconizing her influence on it from my, first production at Karamu, "Devil Mas" to "The Great White Hope" her passion, love of the craft and enthusiasm has carried me my whole career.Everytime i step on a stage or in front of a camera i will think of her. And to the family remember "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord".

A very sad day in the theatre community. Lucia, you will be sorely missed, by many. i am so glad that i had the opportunity to work with you at Ensemble over the years. And that only happened because you and Licia worked so hard to keep it going.
