TEWKSBURY -- Lucia "Lucy" (Papasodoro) Jacobsen, 85, a former employee of Fort Devens and the Tewksbury school system, died peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 13, at the home of her daughter in Chelmsford, after a three-month battle with cancer. She was 85.

I am extremely saddened at the news of Lucy's passing. Lucy worked with me occasionally at the Dewing School. I always looked forward to her arrival. At 80 years old she had more energy than most of us and the greatest sense of humor. As it was said Lucy did love her family as she always spoke of you with pride. I know she will be greatly missed by all of us who knew her.
