Lucian Platt

I am deeply saddened to hear of Professor Lucian Platt's passing. I am one of many Bryn Mawr geology students who benefited from his knowledge, enthusiasm for scientific thought, and making you think. I remember his great field trips, structural geology, tectonic and science discussions. He contributed greatly to his students and understanding of geology. We will miss you Lucian. My deepest condolences to his family.

Uncle Lucian had a very straight forward way of saying things -- after he said something, it was so very clear. He always saw the good in things and always had something uplifting to say. I suspect he was a very good professor.

I am truly and deeply sorry for your Loss. My warmest condolences go out to your family and friends. May the God of all comfort grant you peace and strength during this difficult time (Psalm 91:11).
