He really brightened the day through Facebook— the way for many of us to see each other and stay in touch. Rest In Peace, cousin Luciano. I edited the book Mr. Lou wrote about his family. Inevitably I fell in love with this dear man and looked forward to meeting him in person. Last time I checked in, he was still revising some chapters. My sympathy to the family. What a guy!

I came to know Lou and Diane when I babysat for them New Years' Eve 1962. My mom (Gertrude Allin, one of the older ladies) was working for Lou at 555 Redwood Highway and I got a chance to babysit many times. I recall it being such a wonderful adventure when the family moved to Riviera Drive. I was excited, indeed, when Dominica was born. The kids were great and I really enjoyed being with them. So sorry to hear about Lu´s passing. My mom Marie Gandolfo Piscitello was first cousins and they shared the same birth date one year apart. At my mother´s funeral Lu shared many fond memories about my mom, and all the fun times growing up in North Beach. My mom will be greeting him in heaven with her "beautiful smile" as he always about her. Our deepest condolences to the Sabella family.
