Very, very sorry. Haven’t been able to look for this because of deep sadness over Luciano’s passing. Condolences to all. He really brightened the day through Facebook— the way for many of us to see each other and stay in touch. Rest In Peace, cousin Luciano. Sorry I have trouble getting words together because I didn’t get the writer genes like you have. You have so many 1st & 2nd cousins missing you.

I edited the book Mr. Lou wrote about his family. Inevitably I fell in love with this dear man and looked forward to meeting him in person. Last time I checked in, he was still revising some chapters. My sympathy to the family. What a guy!

I came to know Lou and Diane when I babysat for them New Years' Eve 1962. My mom (Gertrude Allin, one of the older ladies) was working for Lou at 555 Redwood Highway and I got a chance to babysit many times. I recall it being such a wonderful adventure when the family moved to Riviera Drive. I was excited, indeed, when Dominica was born. The kids were great and I really enjoyed being with them. My mom did well working for the family and I, as well, sitting with the kids. I offer my utmost...

Lou was the most decent, honest and generous person I have ever worked with. It was always a pleasure to see him. He will be missed by many.

My sincere condolences to all the family. You will never be forgotten. Many , many wonderful childhood memories of dining at the old Sabellas restaurant. Safe and peaceful journey. RIP

Sorry to see you go. It was a good run and everyone from Keegan & Coppin will miss you.

So sorry to hear about Lu´s passing. My mom Marie Gandolfo Piscitello was first cousins and they shared the same birth date one year apart. At my mother´s funeral Lu shared many fond memories about my mom, and all the fun times growing up in North Beach. My mom will be greeting him in heaven with her "beautiful smile" as he always about her. Our deepest condolences to the Sabella family.

To all my California cousins my deepest sympathies on the loss of a wonderful man. Hold tight to all your wonderful memories. Thinking of you all.
