Not sure what to say?

Dear Family of Dr. Lucie,
May God comfort you and may you know He is walking beside you during this time. Dr. Lucie had such a wonderful "bedside" manner with my dog, Monroe. She would sit down beside him and care for him and always knew just the right thing to say to me, if I was concerned about him. I am a Hokie as well, so she and I had that in common from the start when I started taking Roey to her in early 2000. I was always amazed by her strength and courage. May we all learn...

Lucie. I was stunned to learn of your long illness. A part of me has now died with you. I'll always love you. Da-da-doo Boo Boo.

You will be missed my friend. I will miss running in to you on the trails.

What an honor to have known Dr. Lucie. She was such a kind and gentle person who put me and my dogs at ease from the first time we met her. She will truly be missed. May she rest in peace and be remembered for the wonderful person she was. My condolences to her family and friends.

I was so sorry to hear of Dr Lucie's passing. She was a wonderful, compassionate lady and will sorely be missed. Rest in peace......

We miss Dr. Lucie. When we moved to Richmond, we heard wonderful things about her and chose her as our vet. She had such a loving, fun-filled and caring spirit. She helped us so much with our pet care and illnesses and was a comfort to us when it was time to put our cat and dog to sleep. Our thoughts are with her family and the "family" at Three Chopt Animal Clinic. Brenda & Jack Kerr

Lucie was one of the best veterinarians I have had the honor to work with. Her intelligence, joy, and compassion will be missed. With sympathy in your loss from all the staff at Caroline Animal Hospital

Our deepset sympathy goes out to Dr. Longest, his family and all that knew and loved Dr. Lucie. It is a great loss to everyone who knew this lovely woman and compassionate healer.

I am so saddened to hear of Dr. Lucie's passing. She diagnosed my dog Aiko with a mast cell tumor and helped me choose the treatment back in 2008. He's thriving today, thanks to her. I owe many moments of joy to her great work. My heart goes out to her family, friends and coworkers. She will be sorely missed.
