2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept my faith." Lucien Vernon "Luke" Pierson, 75, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Baton Rouge General. He retired from Seafarer's International Union, Ironworkers Local 623, and he was a licensed plumber. He was an active member at Abundant Life and loved attending church. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jeanette Jones May Pierson, daughters, Carolyn Curtis and husband Jimmy and Darlene Ashley and husband Sam, daughter-in-law, Diana B. May, son, Roger May Sr. and wife Pam, sister, Rose Drury, brothers Leon Pierson and Sam Pierson, grandchildren, Lori Joiner and husband, Micky, Larry May, Jr., and wife Angie, Anna May, Heath Curtis, Jason Curtis, Erica Page and husband Michael, Stephen Ashley, Roger May, Jr. and wife Julie and Emily May, great-grandchildren, Brittany, Caitlyn, Lanah, Destiny, Braelyn, Dakota, Phoenyx, Madeline, Morgan, Gracelyn, Jarett and anticipated great-grandson, Lathen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sierra Pierson, brothers, Jimmy, Max, Nolan, Paul, Rayford and Whit, sisters, Millie Notarino and Elizabeth Teekel, son, Larry May, Sr., and granddaughter, Melissa Ashley. Pallbearers will be: Heath Curtis, Jason Curtis, Roger May, Jr., Stephen Ashley, Larry May, Jr., Micky Joiner, Stevie Ray Drury, and Max Pierson. There will be a visitation held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume at Seale on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 10:00AM until funeral service at Noon. Service will be conducted by Bro. Richard Beatty, and Bro. Frank Smith. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Park. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Baton Rouge General Hospital and the Butterfly Wing.

Hi Jeanette,I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know your husband died untill today. But do not morn,for him celebrate for him because he will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Darlene and Sam, I am so sorry for your loss. I was planning on coming to the visitation tonight but saw it was on Sunday. Please accept my apologies and my sympathy. Ray also extends his condolences. We will pray for your mother, you, and the rest of the family.
