Dear Family of Lucile Hale:
It was with sadness that I read of Lucile's passing. I had not seen Lucile in years, but have such fond memories of her. She and I were in Girl Scouts together - den mothers and on their board at the same time. My husband, Nat Giustina, and Gorden were friends, both being OSU alumni. Sometimes seeing Lucile or Gordon in their yard, we would stop for a visit on our way to McKenzie Bridge and our cabin.

Remembering my Aunt Lucile she was charismatic, charming, always had welcoming smile, and gentle wise words. I enjoyed strolling through her lovely flower garden, looking at her new painting.

Lucile was a great and kind Auntie that I have so many wonderful memories of. I remember swimming in their pool created by damming the creek and a grand adventure with Mom and Lucile to Eastern Oregon. On that Eastern Oregon trip we explored old mines, abandoned school houses, pioneer cemeteries, and visited some distant relatives I never knew existed.
