Not sure what to say?

It is always sad to hear about the passing of a St. X's "Girl" even if we were decades apart at the school.

I am sad to hear the passing of this 'classmate'. Her kindness will help the family's of other St. X's girls

My Mom, Gabrielle Marie (Thibodeau) Marcotte, was a classmate and friend of Ms. Blake at St. Xavier's. Over the years, although their contact was infrequent, my Mom always spoke so fondly and highly of Ms. Blake as well as of the friendships forged between several of her high school friends, including my Mom, in the Blackstone Valley area. The St. Francis Xavier Alumnae Association is sorry to lose this fine lady who graduated in 1945 from the Academy on Broad St. in Providence. Rest in Peace dear Lucille Alice Blake.

Lucille was a dear friend in our informal sewing group at MIT. When I visited her in Woonsockett she was a most cordial hostess. She withstood her illness with such strength. I will always remember her steadfastness in the care of her dear mother.

Lucille and I met when we worked in the M.E. dept at MIT in the 1960s. We kept in touch over the years and I was always interested to hear about her travel adventures and to hear her stories. She was so adventurous and wanted to do everything. She was a special person and a good friend.

When we finally learned that she was safe we decided that Lucille should never go anywhere without letting us know. She is now in a safe place and has...

It was a pleasure knowing you. I know that you are in God's presence and glory right now.
