I often thought of Lucille and Evelyn---The teachers from Texas--- they were good friends of my mother Helen Higgins. I just loved them so much because they were so neat and beautiful.. I became a Registered Nurse in Texas and have lived her almost ever since. I know the rest of the family must be wonderful. I loved Eddie and his family. What wonderful memories! Fayette Higgins King

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was my elementry teacher at McCormick, she was my favorite teacher, she taught me so much, she was an insperation to all of her students. It was several years back, when I ran into her at Smiths grocery store. I approached her and said " Hi you probably don't remember me I was one of your students? she smiled at me and amazingly she called me by my first name. Mrs. Foster was my 5th grade teacher at McCormick, and I have often thought of her through the years. She was a great teacher, and I cherish the memories and the lessons. My condolences to her family, may you have comfort knowing that she has touched the lives of many.
