Miss Lucille was a light in a dark time in my life the summer of 88-89. She saw me holding my child and called me to her and asked the question is this your child Leon? I said yes miss Lucille. Her response was that I needed a job and I replied that I'm a gang member who's going to hire me? Miss Lucille looked up at me with a non filter camel in her mouth and said" if I get you a job will you go? I said yes and went to spaghetti works and Terry hired me off of Lucille name. I had the privilege and the pleasure to cross paths with Lucille Kilgore on several matters with adjudicated youth and their families. She was without peer in the quality of her work with both. Those whose lives she touched, including mine, were the better for it. God bless you, Lucille, and thank you.

I met Lucille when I started working at Flanagan High School in 1984. She was dedicated to the mission of the school. Lucille always put others, especially the students and their families, above herself. She attended daily church services and certainly received her strength from God. Lucille loved sports too. Ms Kilgore was a teacher at Flanagan High my junior and senior year('86-'87), she was one of the nicest persons i know and helped me when I got in trouble. She will be deeply missed.
