Lucille Dauterive Lorio

Growing up and serving as an altar boy at St. Maurice Church, I'll never forget the tireless devotion and love that she showed to the parishioners and to all of the students in the CCD program that she lead. Nor will I forget the work put into the restoration of the Church, the bingo games, those glorious midnight Christmas celebrations, or the countless masses that she lead in song from the choir loft.

What a glorious obit for a glorious lady. Early in my life in St Bernard Parish she met me one day near the courthouse where the Red Cross office was and told me as soon as I finished volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader I was to start volunteering for the Red Cross that led to teaching Water Safety, First Aid and CPR and serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors!!
