Lucy always had a smile for everyone! She was a bright light in this world and I am thankful I knew her. Her friendship to our family was so appreciated, especially to my mom who came over here from Australia back in 1946!

Lucy was one of the first people I met when I moved to Old Cottage Grove in 1967. My daughter Susie, then 5 years old, especially liked Lucy, and would go to visit her. One day Susie came home with some flower bulbs for me, loaded into her little wagon. I planted then, and they flourished. She will always be remembered for her friendly nature and loving spirit. Lucy was a very special person. She will be missed greatly. I was lucky enough to be her godchild. Even though my family moved out of the area when I was three, Lucy always remained close at heart. I learned so much from her. I will never forget the warmth she shared with everyone she came in touch with.

My heart goes out to her family. In this time of sorrow I hope it eases your pain to know she loved you very much. She was so proud of all of you and loved to share stories...

I have known Lucy all my life. She was a beautiful and wonderful person. Lucy and my daughter, Marie, were special friends. When Marie babysat during church Lucy would often sit with her. Lucy taught Marie the beginning of piano.

When I lived in California and was visiting here, I would stop in to see Lucy and she always had a warm welcome and usually a homemade treat to share.

Lucy will be missed. She will never be forgotten. I loved Lucy. I know that she is...
