Lucille Wallace, 80, of Pen Argyl, PA, passed away Monday, March 14th, at Slate Belt Nursing and Rehab. Center, Bangor, PA.
Lucille was born in Scotrun, PA on May 12, 1935, a daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Transue) Groner.
She was the widow of Robert Wallace, who passed away in 1988.
Lucille is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Lester Bartholomew, Jr., a grandson Lester Bartholomew III, and four sisters Ruth Knitter, Viola Peters, Martha Heitzman and Lorraine Engler.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Pen Argyl, PA. Online condolences may be made at gaffneyparsons.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lehigh Valley Unit, 3893 Adler Place, #170, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Lucille was my former sister-in-law and very good friend.I'll miss being able to call her and hear her lovely laugh. She was always such a happy person and liked to talk about the Bible with me. I miss her very much and send my sympathy to her nieces and nephews.

R.I.P. Lucille. I'll always remember the time when you had a big meal for the holiday and the table leg collapsed and all the food started sliding down the table!! Everyone was grabbing the food and everyone laughed. That was one of my favorite memory of Lucille!
