MARSHALL, Lucretia Joene - Of Burton, age 77, died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 4:30PM Sunday, October 5, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Visitation 5-8PM Saturday and 3:30PM-4:30PM Sunday at the funeral home. Lucretia was born in Morehouse, Missouri on June 12, 1931, the daughter of the late James and Oval (Barnes) McColgan and was a resident of the Burton area. After attending Flint Central High School she married Charles D. Marshall on March 12, 1950 and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2001. Surviving are son, Charles D., Jr. and wife Bonnie J. Marshall of Flint; grandchildren, David C. Marshall, Jennifer (Matt) McArthur, Ashley (Shawn) Gelisse and Taylor P. Marshall; great-granddaughter, MaKayla McArthur.
