Lucy Ascoli

I am sorry to read of Lucy’s death. She was a meaningful influence on me when we were Freshmen at Connecticut College. Lucy invited me to travel with her to DC, to march against Nuclear War in January 1961. We were served coffee by President Kennedy as we picketed the White House in a blizzard. Lucy had an inordinate political sensibility and deep wisdom; I admired her very much.
