Lucy and her sister Santa were 2 of my Grandmother's(Jennie) nieces. The 3 were so close in age growing up that they were called the triplets. Lucy and Santa cared for my grandmother's children and grandchildren as if they were their own. There are 4 children in my family and every time one of us came home from the hospital, they would stay at our house for 1 to 2 weeks to give my parents some relief.

We heard about the passing of Lucy while watching the Sunday morning mass from St. Gregory the Great Church in Williamsville, NY via the internet.
Lucy had a long and wonderful life and enjoyed her time with her loving family and friends along the years. Bless you Lucy.

Santa, Aunt Jenny, Lucy

When Lucy was 20 years old her mother Laura died leaving seven children. Santa,one year younger,worked to contribute to her father Joseph's income while Lucy stayed home to raise the children. She became their mother and later the aunt and great aunt of their children who love her as their grandmother. She raised the family in difficult depression times. Every one of her siblings and their children and their grandchildren became honorable citizens with a firm faith in God. Lucy had pictures...

Lucy was my mother's friend and neigbbor. Two weeks ago today, they were part of a group of a dozen women who had a wonderful tea party. Lucy was warm, loving, and kind, and was loved by all who knew her. She brightened everyone's day. May she rest in peace.
