CRAFTON, Mrs. Lucy Hall, 92, of Culpeper, formerly of Warsaw, went home to the Lord on Friday, February 27, 2009. Mrs. Crafton was the widow of Cary M. Crafton Jr. and a member of Menokin Baptist Church. Survivors are her son, Scott Crafton and wife, Kathy, of Richmond; her daughter, Susan Arnett and husband, Carroll, of Burnsville, Minn.; her sister, Betty Ward of Warsaw; grandchildren, Amber Crafton, Heather Crafton, Christopher Arnett and wife, Jenny, and Lindsay Arnett; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Menokin Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Welch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel, 17546 Kings Hwy., Montross, Va. from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Menokin Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Julie Christopher, 4710 Menokin Road, Warsaw, Va. 22572 or to Hospice of the Rapidan, 1200 Sunset Lane, #2320, Culpeper, Va. 22701.

My Dear Lucy, as it closes in on a year since you have been gone I can not express how much I love you and deeply I miss you. I still find myself reaching for the phone to tell you the latest things going on or just to say hi, see how you are and tell you I love you. I will never be able to express how much I appreciate everything you do for me and how big the whole is in my heart. Until I see you again, please remember I love you SO much!
