Lucy taught my sister and me how to ride horses, in El Salvador, between 1972 - 1974. More significantly, she taught us virtue and respect. (Too many examples to cite here.) Time and distance eventually separated us, but her influence draws me back to learn more about this wonderful person who shaped a 10-year old child in ways that have brought me joy and made me a better father.
