I will always remember Lucy with a smile on my face. I hope her children are doing well. I met Lucy on our first day of college at Smith College. A beautiful person inside and out.

Lucy (and little sister Louise) lived across the street from me (and my little sister Mary) while we were growing up. We spent many summer days playing together as youngsters. Many, many great memories.

I worked with Lucy as a lawyer in Frankfort and never met a more intelligent, happy and beautiful person. The KY Bar publication brought this horrible news to me today and I am shocked. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

Lucy and her roommate Dana were the first people I met at Smith College when we arrived as the Class of '83. The three of us were fast friends our freshman year and I will always remember her bright face and easy laugh. How poignant that I hear this news today as the Smith College Class of 2014 arrives on campus and meets their classmates who will forever be a part of their history. My sincere condolences to Lucy's entire family.

Although I didn't knowingly cross paths with Lucy at Smith, I feel as though I know her just by looking at her picture and her infectious smile...she truly accomplished much in her short life and was clearly a wonderful person, wife, mother, sister, daughter, etc. I am very sorry for your tragic loss and send prayers your way. In time may you heal enough to celebrate Lucy's life with you. Hold your children tightly...

I remember Lucy at Smith and what I remember most is her easy smile. She seemed to love life. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories of Lucy's love for life bring you comfort.
