I remember Ms Vernile from DeVeaux Jr High, she had a passion for making sure her students were successful. She came to my home and took me to the Annual Conference for Aspiring Minority Youth at the U of Toledo in 1989. I didn't understand then but it made an impact as I got older because she saw something in me and other students. Thank you

Lucy was one of the GOOD ones! Good mom ,good wife, good teacher and good woman! She helped us out long after her daughters finished FORT MIAMI SCHOOL. When she said she would tutor a student she was always there and on time. She helped out many kids including the ones that were from the old Miami Children´s Home. Rosie remembers meeting her at Centre Market when Melanie was still sitting in the cart. Our condolences to her daughters who we have many good memories of. Rick Rosie Sabo Toledo
