Winston-Salem is not quite the same today, now that Lucy P. Wilson is gone. She was the embodiment of the spirit of SECCA when it was riding high in the 1980s and she always remained loyal to that institution that she helped birth and nurture. She was always helpful and kind to me and I'll never forget her. Thinking of her now, I see that wicked twinkle in her eye and her face always ready to crack a smile. I loved Lucy Wilson and I'll never forget her.
