Wright, Lucy Simmons age 90 of Knoxville died 11:26 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2003 at Ft. Sanders Park West Medical Center. Longtime member of Oakwood Primitive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Basil H. Wright; 5 sisters; 1 brother.

Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Dorcus and Earl Layman; son and daughter-in-law, Herbert and Mary Wright; grandchildren, Tracy Wright, Mary Setzer, Basil “Bud” Wright III; grandson and wife, Thomas Leonard and Debra Wright; great grandchildren, Nickolas Aethranis and Jacob Wright; sister and brother-in-law, Dora and Lawrence Hamilton; sister-in-law, Anna Simmons; several nieces and nephews, all of Knoxville.

Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Monday at Stevens Chapel with Rev. Jerry Hembree officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Highland South Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment.
