Ludwig Kempe

Ludwig was my professor and close personal friend while I was in training at the Medical University of South Carolina. I spent many enjoyable days in his office discussing many subjects besides neurosurgery. We published several papers together and he gave me a signed copy of his two volume Operative Neurosurgery . I'm so sorry to hear of Dr. Kempe's passing. I've spent many hours at Diamond Brand enjoying probing his awesome knowledge of just about any subject anyone could want to know. It's such a shame that a person this brillant has to leave us, and all that vast knowledge be lost. R.I.P. Ludwig

A great man, whom many admired and one of those who knew how to live and lived life to its fullest. We in Jerusalem, where he visited many times will always remember Ludwig.
