Mr. DiGiulio... that's how I always called him since I first met him as one of my best friend's father over 43 years ago. I can still hear him greeting me, "Hey Miiiiimiiiii!" I loved the smell of the DiGiulio home when a meal was being prepared. I have fond memories of going over to their house and he'd be stirring a big pot of pasta, Mrs. D. would be punching holes in the focaccia dough, basil was fresh on the kitchen counter, and if you were lucky, cioppino was also part of the meal. Oh!...

We were very sorry to hear about the loss of your husband, Louis. We know he meant the world to you for more than 60 years. Although our time with you and Louie consisted of parties, family gatherings and other good times, we want you to know that we are with you in this, your time of trial. Louie was a kind and generous man with many friends and a loving family. He will be missed by many and fondly remembered for a long, long time. Please accept our sincere condolences.
