Luis Francisco Barroso

So sorry to hear of luis passing I was friends with him in medical school in DesMoines. I knew he was in Florida and kept tract of him. My condolences to the Barroso family.

I met Luis, his wife Jen and children over 20 years ago while vacationing at Siesta Key. Our two-week yearly ritual was shared by many families and very quickly the Barroso family became a pleasant addition to the group. The Dr Barroso I met loved to share memories of earlier years at the University of Habana and what life was like in a happier Habana. Dr. Luis Barroso was a wonderful man and physician colleague. I met him on my first day as an ID physician at Florida Hospital East Orlando (now Advent Health) in 2001. He welcomed me and offered his mentorship right from the start. I enjoyed working with him on patient care daily until his retirement. Dr. Barroso was loved by his patients and his colleagues.
