Not sure what to say?

Luis Calvo was a respected scholar. I had the honor of playing music of Gaspar Sanz at Luis's memorial in 2016. Señor Calvo's book on Sanz has been difficult to locate. I appreciate any assistance in acquiring a copy for my studies of the Renaissance and early Baroque vihuelists in Spain during the Siglo de Oro. Thank you.

Hello to the family of Garcia-Abrines. I was a student at Yale in 1955-56 and Luis was very helpful in instructing me about art, prior to a study in Paris. Sr. Garcia-Abrines was a great scholar and man of culture.

Of interest to to the family is that I own one of his paintings, dated 1954, which he explained was influenced by Joan Miro.

If you send me n email address, I will email an image of the painting.

All of us are greatly appreciative of his full and rich life...

Our condolences on the loss of Luis. Our family's enjoyed many, memorable times together. Most notably, the years during the establishment of the South Central Community College community. Luis and Stuart were great friends. God Bless you and your family, Marie.
May he rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Dr. Stuart J McEnerney and Family

May the perpetual light shine upon him.

It was an honor for me to pay homage to an exceptional artist and educator by playing music of Gaspar Sanz at Luis' memorial. Many praises were expressed by the friends who knew him. And music filled the space the entire time.

My sincere sympathy to all of your family Linda and John. Your Father was an exceptional man of the 20th century. My prayers go with you all at this time of sorrow.

Sincere condolences to the Garcia-Abrines family on the passing of Louis.
Louis was a noteworthy scholar and a man of utmost integrity.

What a nice man ! As a window clerk at the USPS on Brewery St. I waited on him many times. He autographed a book he gave me once on Francisco Petrarca and said I was a descendant of one of the world's greatest poets. A true gentleman !
